This panel will bring to Karlsruhe the expertise of The Exhibitions Group in the UK and the Agency for International Museum Cooperation in Germany. Join the conversation and learn how the UK museum sector has embraced the circular economy and worked on changing their programming, administrative processes, energy use and waste management to become more sustainable. Exhibitions that are developed from the outset to be shown more than once: working collaboratively on planning and designing exhibitions for multiple venues, maximising the opportunities to co-curate, reduce waste, and audience engagement. Germany has a unique and diverse museum sector. We need to work together to protect the outstanding curatorial creativity of our museums. Let’s collaborate and share our ideas, collections, and resources more efficiently so we can thrive in a changing cultural landscape.
