Under the the­me “Was kommt, was bleibt, was geht?”, Vert le Futur is orga­ni­s­ing a Swiss dele­ga­ti­on to rai­se the pro­fi­le of exis­ting initia­ti­ves and pro­jects and to streng­then new trans­na­tio­nal alli­ances. The aim is to crea­te a dyna­mic space for reflec­tion and exch­an­ge on sus­tainable trans­for­ma­ti­on in the cul­tu­ral sec­tor.

At the heart of the event is the TATEN­brunch: a dia­lo­gue-based for­mat that com­bi­nes coo­king and eating tog­e­ther with short pre­sen­ta­ti­ons and mode­ra­ted dis­cus­sion rounds. It is based on sel­ec­ted good prac­ti­ces and know­ledge of trans­for­ma­ti­on from the digi­tal plat­form Taten­bank. Inspi­red by per­ma­cul­tu­re as a sys­te­mic model of thin­king, con­cre­te per­spec­ti­ves for sus­tainable cul­tu­ral orga­ni­sa­ti­ons and sus­tainable cul­tu­ral crea­ti­on emer­ge.

The playful yet cri­ti­cal Cli­ma­te TATEN­show ques­ti­ons the role of car­bon foot­prin­ting and sus­taina­bi­li­ty tools and dis­cus­ses whe­ther mea­su­ring emis­si­ons alo­ne is suf­fi­ci­ent – or whe­ther more com­pre­hen­si­ve tools are nee­ded for genui­ne trans­for­ma­ti­on.

Key ques­ti­ons:
1. What stra­te­gies enable cul­tu­ral orga­ni­sa­ti­ons to work more sus­tain­ab­ly and to streng­then social cohe­si­on and cul­tu­ral par­ti­ci­pa­ti­on?
2. How can insti­tu­ti­ons coope­ra­te with one ano­ther, as well as with artists and cul­tu­ral prac­ti­tio­ners and local com­mu­ni­ties, to bring about sys­te­mic chan­ge at regio­nal, natio­nal and inter­na­tio­nal levels?
3. Is CO₂ accoun­ting suf­fi­ci­ent, or do we need more com­pre­hen­si­ve tools for envi­ron­men­tal and social sus­taina­bi­li­ty?
